Valterra Platinum Mine is looking for fresh talent in South Africa to join its 2026 Engineering Learnership Programme. This is an exciting chance for people who are not currently working to learn real engineering skills and get hands‑on experience in a busy mining site.

How to Qualify
Applicants only need to meet one of the following:
Option 1 – Matric (Grade 12)
- Pass Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), Physical Science, and English.
- Score at least 40% in all subjects.
Option 2 – Trade‑Specific N3 or Higher
- Boilermaker: Plating/Welders Theory and Plating Structural & Steelwork Drawings.
- Electrical: Electrical Trade Theory & Industrial Electronics or Engineering Drawings.
- Diesel Mechanic: Diesel/Motor Trade Theory & Engineering Drawings.
- Mechanical Fitter: Fitting Trade Theory & Engineering Drawings.
- Instrument Mechanician: Instrument Trade Theory & Industrial Electronics.
- Auto Electrician: Motor Electrical Trade Theory & Industrial Electronics.
- Millwright: Electrical & Fitting Trade Theories; Engineering Drawings or Industrial Electronics.
Option 3 – NCV Level 4
- Hold a Level 4 National Certificate of Vocation in a suitable trade, with at least 40% in all subjects.
