Social Housing Regulatory Authority Internship 2026—New Graduate Spots

Internship at the Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA)

If you’re a South African graduate who is currently looking for work, SHRA is offering a 24‑month internship program that pays a monthly stipend of R11 175.00. The job gives you real workplace experience in the social housing sector and runs from 30 January 2026 to 30 July 2027. You can work in several locations across South Africa. This post explains what the internship is about, the roles you can fill, and how to apply.

About SHRA

SHRA is a public body that makes sure that affordable rental homes are built, managed and kept safe for people who earn a middle‑to‑low income, especially in cities. The Authority checks that projects meet rules, helps funding, and builds the skills of organisations that run social housing. By working for SHRA you will see how a government agency supports people’s homes and communities.

What the Internship Offers

  • Hands‑on work experience for graduates who are still finding their first job.
  • Skill building in areas such as housing, construction and community care.
  • A look at how the public sector runs, how decisions are made and how projects are carried out.
  • Support for young people who want to learn more about the built environment and help people in their neighborhoods.

Only South African citizens can apply. All applicants must be under 35 years old when the internship starts.
