All the offices are part of the Executive Support Services – Risk and Integrity Management team.
What You Need to Apply
- South African citizen
- Speak at least two official languages, one of them English
- No criminal record or pending cases
- Pass a vetting check, security screening, and fingerprint test
- Finished Grade 10 (Standard 8) or NQF Level 3
- Registered with the Police Service Insurance and Risk Association (PSIRA)
- Hold a Grade C Security Certificate or higher
- Fit to own and handle a firearm – and ready for training
Bonus points if you have:
- A degree or diploma in security or a related field
- Extra security courses on your resume
- A valid driver’s licence for a light motor vehicle
What You’ll Do
As a Security Officer you’ll:
- Control who enters police premises and vehicles, following the Control of Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act
- Check IDs for staff, visitors, and contractors
- Log everyone who comes in and scan them with a computer system
- Issue and manage visitor access cards
- Keep an eye on vehicles and special equipment
- Patrol buildings and fenced zones regularly
- Watch security cameras and flag any problems
- Oversee cleaning and maintenance teams from a security viewpoint
- Report any risks or incidents to higher‑up officers
These tasks keep the police stations safe and running smoothly.
