ILASA Bursary Programme 2026 – A Chance to Study Landscape Architecture in South Africa
If you’re dreaming of becoming a landscape architect but worry about the cost, the Institute for Landscape Architecture in South Africa (ILASA) has a scholarship for you. The ILASA Bursary Programme 2026 will help students pay for their degree in landscape architecture. This scholarship is open to anyone who is a South African citizen, enrolled or accepted into one of four universities – the University of Cape Town (UCT), University of Pretoria (UP), Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), or Tshwane University of Technology (TUT). The deadline to apply is 28 November 2025, at midnight. Make sure you finish your application before this time – late entries will not be considered.
What the ILASA Bursary Covers
The scholarship offers up to R40,000 per student. That money can be used for:
- Registration fees
- Tuition costs
- Residence fees, but only in special cases
Payments go straight to the university or the relevant service provider, so you don’t have to worry about handling the money yourself.
