Heineken Beverages – Apprenticeship Programme 2025 in Stellenbosch

If you’re a South African student who loves machines, tools and figuring out how things work, Heineken Beverages is looking for you. They are offering a full‑time apprenticeship in Stellenbosch, Western Cape that will give you hands‑on experience in engineering and the chance to become a qualified Fitter & Turner (Millwright). The apprenticeship lasts a fixed term, starts in 2025, and you’ll report to the Workshop Manager at the Centre of Excellence Workshop.


What the apprenticeship covers

During the program you’ll learn everything you need to know about fitting and turning machinery. You’ll do real work in a busy workshop, while also attending training sessions that cover mechanical trade theory and practical skills. The goal is to finish the apprenticeship qualified as a Fitter & Turner, a role that keeps machines running smoothly and safely.

Your everyday tasks

  • Complete the Millwright training to become a certified Fitter & Turner.
  • Join all learning activities and stay engaged.
  • Carry out tasks with care, ensuring each job is done well.
  • Work under a supervisor’s eye in the workshop and follow all safety rules.

Who should apply

Education

  • Finished high school (Grade 12) with good maths and physical science.
  • Have a N2 certificate in Engineering Studies, especially Mechanical Trade Theory. (Make sure you upload a copy of the certificate.)

Skills and attitude

  • You’re good at solving technical problems.
  • You can explain things clearly, whether speaking or writing.
  • You handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  • You pay close attention to detail and want your work to be accurate.
  • You understand basic safety practices in a workshop.

Other needs

  • You must have reliable transport to get to work.
  • You’re ready to work extra hours if a project needs it.
  • You can be moved to other Heineken plants if required.
