Tshwane South TVET College: AgriSETA‑Funded Internships 2026

What’s the job?
If you’re a 15‑year‑old who just finished high school or a student still in college, and you want to step out of the classroom and into the real world, the Tshwane South TVET College has a chance for you. Together with AgriSETA and the Department of Higher Education and Training, the college is opening doors for two special programmes in 2026: an AgriSETA‑funded Internship that lasts 18 months, and an AgriSETA‑funded Graduate Programme that runs for 12 months. Both offer hands‑on work experience, a solid learning plan, and skills that employers actually need.

When and Where

  • Closing date: 16 January 2026
  • Location: Pretoria, Gauteng

Make sure you send your application before that date – no late entries will be taken.

What You’ll Get

Both programmes give you a chance to work in real companies while you’re still studying (WIL) or after you’ve finished your diploma. You’ll learn:

  • How a job actually works, not just theory
  • Skills that match what employers want in the market
  • A stronger resume that can help you land a permanent job later

These are great for students who want to jump from school into a career, or for graduates who need a first taste of the workplace.

Two Types of Programmes

1. Internship Programme – Work Integrated Learning (18 Months)

Who it’s for:

  • Students still taking part of their diploma that requires practical training
  • Students with an N4–N6 qualification (the South African system’s levels)
  • Those who have an official in‑service letter from their campus

What you’ll learn:

  • Management Assistance – help run a business, keep records, support managers
  • Tourism – work with travel companies, hotels, or visitor centres

The internship is a long‑term, hands‑on experience that helps you build a professional network while you finish your studies.

2. AgriSETA‑Funded Graduate Programme (12 Months)

Who it’s for:

  • TVET graduates who have completed their diploma
  • People looking for a structured work experience after finishing school
  • Those who can dedicate a whole year to the programme

What you’ll learn:

  • Management Assistance – similar to the internship but at a more advanced level
  • Financial Management – manage budgets, track expenses, help with accounting
  • Hospitality – work in hotels, restaurants, or event venues

The graduate programme is shorter but packed with practical work that can open doors to a future career.

Minimum Requirements

To apply, you need to bring a few documents with you:

  • A clean CV that lists your education and any work or volunteer experience
  • A certified copy of your ID that is not older than six months
  • Certified copies of your N4–N6 certificates or your diploma
  • An in‑service letter from your college (for the internship) or a letter confirming you’ve finished your 18‑month training (for the graduate programme)
  • A motivational letter for the graduate programme (tell us why you want this chance)

Important: If you miss any of these, your application will not be considered.
