What the Apprenticeship Is About

Who Runs the Program?
Thos Begbie & Co has been in South Africa for many years. They specialize in heavy engineering and manufacturing, especially in foundry operations and large‑scale production. Apprentice Trades You Can Pick
- Moulder – work with metal and shape it into useful parts.

What You Need to Apply
They’re looking for people who have:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science, or
- A minimum of N2 with four subjects that include some trade theory, or
- A Technical Matric that covers Maths, Science, and relevant trade topics.
Beyond that, they want to see that you:
- Know a bit about technical work already.
- Are self‑driven and can keep on top of your tasks.
- Behave well and respect your coworkers.
- Know basic safety rules for the workplace.
- Can manage your time well.
- Think critically and can talk to others effectively.
