Finance Internship Programme 2025 – South African State Theatre

The South African State Theatre is looking for fresh graduates who want to jumpstart a career in finance. This 12‑month internship will let you work in the Finance Department of one of the major cultural venues in Pretoria. You’ll get a chance to try out real budgeting, reporting, and compliance work while learning about the finances that keep a theatre running smoothly.


What you’ll do

During the year, you’ll sit in on meetings, see how the theatre’s budget is prepared, help prepare financial reports, and learn about audits and compliance. You’ll be part of a team that manages money for shows, stage design, touring productions and everyday operations. It’s a hands‑on look at how a large arts organisation keeps the books balanced and the finances healthy.

Who can apply

  • You have a National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Finance or a closely related field.
  • You have zero to one year of relevant experience – new graduates with no work experience are especially encouraged.
  • You are excited about building a future in finance and want to learn more about the industry.
