If you’re a South African teen or young adult who doesn’t have a job right now, this is a chance for you. Scientec Education & Training is opening a 3‑year Electrical Apprenticeship in Durban, and they want people like you to apply. The program will train you to become a qualified electrician, giving you real skills, a recognized certification, and a job ready for the future.


What the Apprenticeship Is All About

The apprenticeship lasts three years. During that time you’ll learn how to read electrical plans, install wiring safely, and troubleshoot problems on real equipment. You’ll work in a real workshop while also taking classes that cover the science and math behind the job. At the end of the program you will receive a trade qualification that employers across South Africa trust.

Scientec is a training centre that follows national standards set by the QCTO (Quality Council for Trades and Occupations), NAMB (National Academy for the Mining and Metal Industries), and CHIETA (Community Health Industry Training and Employment Authority). What You Need to Apply

  1. A detailed CV that lists any work or volunteer experience, even if it’s not in the electrical field.
  2. A certified copy of your ID card.
  3. A certified Grade 12 report that shows you have taken Mathematics and Physical Science.
  4. Make sure all documents are clear and signed by a certified official.
