Are you a South African graduate or a final‑year student ready to jump into a fast‑moving field? Pele Energy Group is looking for fresh talent for its 2026 Graduate Internships, also known as the Graduate in Training Programme. The programme lasts 24 months and is full‑time, based in Sandton, Gauteng. It’s a chance to learn, grow and help build the country’s future power supply using solar and wind energy.


What is Pele Energy Group?

Pele Energy Group is a top renewable‑energy company in South Africa. It builds, owns and runs clean‑energy projects, especially solar and wind farms. The company wants to help the country move away from fossil fuels, while also training people, supporting communities and creating jobs.


The Graduate in Training Programme

The Graduate in Training (GIT) programme is made for people who have just finished a university degree and want to start a career in clean energy. You’ll move through different parts of the business, getting hands‑on experience and learning from experienced staff. You’ll also build soft skills such as teamwork, problem solving and communication, while working on real projects that push the company forward.


Open Roles and What You Need

Impact Investing

  • Business Science, Economics, Finance, Politics/Philosophy & Economics, or any other commerce degree.

Corporate Finance

  • Investment Management, Econometrics, Statistics, Mathematics – completed or final year.

Human Resources

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology, or Labour Relations.

ESG (Environment, Social & Governance)

  • Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Chemical Engineering, Sustainability, Climate Change, Economics or a related field.

Business Development

  • Engineering (any stream) or a finance qualification.

Asset Management

  • Finance and Accounting BCom, CIMA certification is a plus.

Knowledge Pele (Community & Development)

  • Development Studies, Community Development, Project Management, Local Economic Development Management or Sustainability – bachelor’s or honours.

Project Development

  • BSc or BSc Honours in Environmental Sciences, Geography or Geology.

Engineer

  • BSc, BEng or honours in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or Computer Science.

Investment & Funding Group

  • BCom in Investment Management, Finance (Investment specialisation), Management Sciences (Investment), Accounting or Economics.
  • BSc in Finance or Investment & Banking.

Finance

  • BCom (Accounting) or Finance.

Community and Development Researcher

  • Honours in Development Studies, Sociology or Political Studies.
