North West Department of Health Internship 2026 – A Chance for South African Graduates

If you’re a recent graduate looking for real work experience in the public health sector, the North West Department of Health has a new internship program coming up in 2026. This job is open to people who are currently out of work and have finished a university degree or a TVET diploma. What’s the Internship About?

The program is split into two parts:

Graduate Internship – 24‑Month Contract

You must have a Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in one of these fields:

Student Internship – 18‑Month Contract

Who Can Apply?

You need to be a TVET N6 student and have an experiential learning letter from a recognized TVET college. Eligible courses include:

  • Human Resource Management
  • Financial Management
  • Business Management
  • Management Assistant
  • Public Management

How to Apply

  1. Get the Z83 application form – You can download it from the department’s website or pick one up at the nearest office.
  2. Fill it out completely – Write down your name, contact details, and the reference number for the program you want.
  3. Add your resume – Make sure it’s up to date and shows all your studies, work, and volunteer experiences.
  4. Three referees – List three people who can vouch for you (teachers, employers, or supervisors). Include their names, titles, and contact info.
  5. Submit it – Bring your paper application to either a sub‑district office or a district office. They’ll guide you to the right place.

What Happens After You Apply?
