1. Accounting Clerk – Financial Accounting Services

  • Location: MISA Head Office – Centurion, Pretoria

  • Reference No.: MISA/AC‑FAS/02

  • Salary: R228,321 – R268,950 per year (Level 5)

  • What we need: A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent – no previous work experience is required.

  • Key skills:

    • Basic knowledge of money and accounting
    • Able to solve problems and think logically
    • Friendly to clients and helpful to coworkers
    • Clear speaking and writing
    • Comfortable using a computer
  • What you’ll do:

    • Check and approve invoices within 30 days.
    • Create records for amounts still owed and follow up to get them paid.
    • Record financial entries and keep monthly cash books.
    • Take care of the system’s ledger, make sure everything matches, and file the papers.
    • Help with payroll, employee taxes, payments to third parties, and travel or food claims.
  • Helpful background knowledge (nice to have):

    • Public Finance Management Act, 1999
    • Treasury rules
    • Simple accounting software like BAS, PERSAL, or VIP

2. Supply Chain Clerk – Demand and Acquisition

  • Location: MISA Head Office – Centurion, Pretoria

  • Reference No.: MISA/SCC‑DA/03

  • Salary: R228,321 – R268,950 per year (Level 5)

  • What we need: A Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.

  • Key skills:

    • Friendly to users and customers
    • Good at solving problems, planning, and keeping track of tasks
    • Strong speaking and writing
    • Computer ready
  • What you’ll do:

    • Help with the paperwork for bids and contract signing.
    • Keep the supplier list updated.
    • Add new suppliers to Logis or other database systems.
    • Ask for price quotes, put orders in, and enter purchase specs into the buying system.
    • Send and receive bidding documents.
  • Helpful background knowledge (nice to have):

    • Basics of buying and selling goods for the government
    • Treasury Regulations (8.2.3)
    • Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA)
