Mr Price Foundation invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for its Learning Hubs Pilot Programme 2025. The closing date for applications is 31 October 2025.
About the Learning Hubs Pilot Programme
The Mr Price Foundation is launching a special project to help young people run early‑childhood education centres in Limpopo, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu‑Natal. The goal is to give these centres money, training and help from experienced mentors so they can grow into strong, long‑term learning hubs for children.
- Five youth‑owned or youth‑managed centres will be selected.
- Each centre will receive the tools and funding it needs to become a thriving, sustainable learning place.
What the Program Offers
Selected centres will get a mix of financial aid, training and mentorship. Here’s what you’ll receive:
- Micro‑grants up to R50 000 to improve buildings, buy materials or expand programs.
- Business training that covers budgeting, legal matters, planning and marketing.
- Academic support to strengthen reading, math and readiness for school.
- After‑school program help that creates safe, organised spaces for kids.
- Mentor guidance from people who know education and business.
- Resource packs with classroom tools and teaching tips.
These benefits give centres practical skills, money and expert advice to become reliable examples of community‑based learning.

Why This Programme Matters
Early childhood education is a powerful driver of learning and social change in South Africa. Many youth‑run centres struggle to get funding and support. The Learning Hubs Pilot Programme fills that gap by offering money, training and coaching. It’s not just a grant; it’s a chance to build a lasting, community‑based learning model that can inspire future generations.
Take the Next Step
If your early‑childhood centre meets the criteria, don’t wait. Apply before 31 October 2025 and help create a brighter future for young learners in your community.
