What is a Learnership?

A learnership is a mix of classroom lessons and real job work. During the 12‑month period you’ll practice the day‑to‑day tasks that happen in a contact centre while studying the theory behind medical aid and insurance. At the end of the program you’ll be able to claim an Occupational Certificate: Health Care Benefits Advisor (NQF Level 5). Even if the program does not promise a permanent job, it gives you a strong chance to find work in the health or insurance fields later on.
