If you are a young South African between the ages of 18 and 30 living within the Royal Bafokeng Nation, this opportunity could change the direction of your career — and the closing date is 03 April 2026. Deviare, in partnership with the Royal Bafokeng Institute, is offering unemployed youth a chance to earn globally recognised Microsoft certifications, receive mentorship, and earn a monthly stipend — all in just three months.
What Is the Microsoft Interprovincial Programme 2026?
The Microsoft Interprovincial Programme 2026 is a three-month career acceleration programme run by Deviare and the Royal Bafokeng Institute (RBI). It is designed to give young people real, practical digital skills that employers are looking for right now.
This is not just a short course. By the end of the programme, you will have completed internationally recognised Microsoft certifications that carry weight in industries like banking, government, telecoms, retail, and consulting.
The programme starts on 08 April 2026 and runs for three months. It takes place at the Royal Bafokeng Institute, located within the Royal Bafokeng Nation in South Africa.
What Will You Learn?
The programme focuses on Microsoft Power Platform — a set of tools used by businesses around the world to automate tasks, build apps, and work with data. You will work towards three certifications:
Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900)
This is your starting point. You will learn the basics of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Power Virtual Agents. You will also learn how businesses use these tools to improve productivity and automate everyday processes.
Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL-200)
This certification goes deeper. You will learn how to analyse what a business needs, set up workflows, and support digital transformation projects. In simple terms, you will learn how to help a company work smarter using technology.
Microsoft Power Platform Developer (PL-400)
This is the most advanced certification in the programme. You will learn how to build custom applications, connect different business systems together, and extend the Power Platform using code.
By the time you finish, you will have practical skills in business process automation, low-code app development, data analytics and dashboards, workflow digitisation, and enterprise solution support. These are skills that companies are actively hiring for.
What Do You Get?
Participants in this programme receive more than just training. Here is what is included:
- Industry-aligned digital skills training
- Structured mentorship and practical, hands-on learning
- A monthly stipend of R4 000
- Exposure to Microsoft’s global technology ecosystem
- Three internationally recognised Microsoft certifications
A monthly stipend of R4 000 means you are supported financially while you learn. This is a significant benefit, especially for unemployed youth who may be worried about costs during the programme.
Who Can Apply?
This programme has specific eligibility requirements. Before you apply, make sure you meet all of the following:
- You are a South African youth aged between 18 and 30
- You are a Mofokeng youth currently residing within the Royal Bafokeng Nation
- You are currently unemployed
- You are not currently studying or enrolled in another programme
- You hold an NQF Level 6 qualification in Information Technology or a related field
- You are able to provide a letter from your Kgosana
An NQF Level 6 qualification is roughly equivalent to a three-year diploma or an advanced certificate. If you are unsure whether your qualification qualifies, contact Deviare directly using the details at the end of this article.
Many applicants worry that they are not experienced enough or that their qualifications are not strong enough. From experience, the most important thing is that you meet the listed requirements and that your documents are complete and correct when you apply.
What Documents Do You Need?
Make sure you have all of the following documents ready before you apply:
- An updated CV
- A certified copy of your South African ID
- Certified copies of your academic qualifications
- Proof of residence within the Royal Bafokeng Nation
- A letter from your Kgosana
If this is your first time applying for a programme like this, do not worry. A certified copy simply means a copy of your document that has been stamped and signed by a commissioner of oaths — you can get this done at most police stations or certain banks for free.
How to Apply
The application process is straightforward. Here is what you need to do:
- Gather all the required documents listed above.
- Make sure your CV is up to date and clearly lists your qualifications and any relevant experience.
- Send your application by email to: recruitment@deviare.africa
- If you have questions or need assistance, call Deviare on 014 566 1447.
The application closing date is 03 April 2026. Late applications may not be considered, so do not wait until the last moment.
Tips to Improve Your Application
From experience, many applicants are turned away not because they do not qualify, but because their documents are incomplete or their CV does not clearly show their qualifications. Here are a few practical tips:
- Double-check every document. Missing even one item can result in your application being disqualified.
- Write a clear, honest CV. List your highest qualification, any relevant skills or experience, and your contact details. Keep it clean and easy to read.
- Get your Kgosana letter early. This can take time to arrange, so do not leave it to the last day.
- Use a professional email address when submitting your application. If your email address is informal, consider creating a new one using your name.
- Send your documents on time. Aim to submit at least a day or two before the closing date.
If you are unsure about any part of the application, call the Deviare team on 014 566 1447. It is always better to ask than to guess.
Why This Opportunity Matters

Earning these certifications gives you credentials that are recognised globally — not just locally.
Three months is a short time, but the skills and certifications you walk away with can open doors for years to come. Completing this programme does not guarantee a job, but it does give you a real, competitive edge in a tough job market.
If you live within the Royal Bafokeng Nation, meet the requirements, and are ready to invest three months in your future — this programme is worth applying for. The closing date is 03 April 2026.
