Lucchini South Africa (Pty) Ltd is looking for young people who are ready to learn and grow. If you are between 18 and 24 years old, love working with machines and want to earn a full‑time job while training, this place might be perfect for you. The program runs for 12 months, starts on 12 January 2026, and you’ll get a regular salary the whole time. You will be on the production floor, learning how to keep factories running smoothly, and you’ll get a meaningful contract at the end of the course.
What the learnership looks like

During the year you’ll mix classroom learning with hands‑on work. You’ll learn how to schedule production, check that products meet quality standards, and help the Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) line run without problems. You’ll also learn how to pack, label, and track inventory, and you’ll be part of a team that keeps safety and clean floors as a top priority.
Who can apply?
- School background: You need a Grade 12 certificate. You should have taken maths and science because those subjects help you understand the technical parts of production.
- Age: 18–24 years old
- Health: You must pass a basic medical check to confirm you’re fit for factory work.
- Language: English is required for reading, writing, and speaking. Fluency helps you follow instructions and share ideas with colleagues.
What you’ll do every day
- Keep machines working: Perform routine maintenance and flag any problems right away.
- Plan and run production: Use simple tools to plan work schedules and confirm that the final products pass quality tests.
- Support the NDT line: Help set up equipment and run checks that make sure every component is safe and correct.
- Document everything: Write down what you did each hour, record quality test results, and update production logs.
- Stay safe and tidy: Follow safety rules, keep work areas clean, and help avoid accidents.
- Manage logistics: Pack finished goods, label them, and keep track of inventory.
- Team effort: Work closely with operators and technicians to hit daily output goals.
