KwaZulu‑Natal CET College Invites Eligible Candidates to Apply for the Graduate Internship Programme 2025/2026.

Internship Overview

KwaZulu‑Natal Community Education and Training (CET) College, with support from the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), is looking for recent graduates who want to kick‑start their career in the public sector.
Key points:

  • Stipend: R6,000 per month.
  • Term: 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
  • Eligibility: You must hold an NQF Level 7 qualification and have never taken a SETA‑funded internship before.

This programme gives you real workplace experience, helps you build useful skills, and prepares you for a future in public service.

Human Resources Management (Ref: HRM/01/2025)

  • Manage performance and development systems.
  • Enter data into PERSAL and IQMS.
  • Handle leave, pension, and HR paperwork.
  • Qualification: Advanced Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management.

Business Management / Administration (Ref: BM/02/2025)

  • Register and process applications.
  • Prepare evaluation certificates and reports.
  • Coordinate meetings with stakeholders.
  • Qualification: Advanced Diploma or Degree in Business Management or Administration.

Marketing (Ref: MA/03/2025)

  • Plan and run publicity campaigns.
  • Maintain the college brand at events.
  • Compile reports and gather feedback.
  • Qualification: Advanced Diploma or Degree in Marketing.

General Management (Ref: GA/04/2025)

  • Handle correspondence and book events.
  • Provide admin support to the Chief Directorate.
  • Draft reports and perform secretarial tasks.
  • Qualification: Advanced Diploma or Degree in Public or Office Management.

Internal Audit (Ref: IA/05/2025)

  • Implement risk management plans.
  • Monitor compliance and follow‑ups.
  • Support the audit committee’s secretariat.
  • Qualification: Advanced Diploma or Degree in Internal Auditing.

Education (Ref: ED/06/2025)

  • Record class attendance and learner data.
  • Assist with assessments and reports.
  • Help align the curriculum with DHET standards.
  • Qualification: Bachelor of Education.

Social Science (Ref: SS/07/2025)

  • Connect classroom topics to community issues.
  • Take part in outreach campaigns.
  • Support civic education projects.
  • Qualification: Advanced Diploma or Degree in Social Science.

Finance (Ref: F/08/2025)

  • Prepare and manage budgets.
  • Answer audit queries and check payments.
  • Handle requisitions, quotes, and finance meetings.
  • Qualification: BCom in Finance or an Advanced Diploma in Cost Management, Accounting, or Financial Management.

Information Technology (Ref: IT/09/2025)

  • Provide IT and desktop support.
  • Help with ICT audits and risk management.
  • Maintain web pages and build applications.
  • Qualification: Advanced Diploma or Degree in Information Technology.

Labour Relations (Ref: LR/10/2025)

  • Draft misconduct and grievance notices.
  • Assist with hearings and disciplinary procedures.
  • Write reports and track grievance progress.
  • Qualification: Degree in Labour Relations, Industrial Psychology, or Labour Law.

How to Apply

To be considered, you must send a complete application that includes:

  1. A filled Z83 form – available from the Department of Public Service and Administration website (https://www.dpsa.gov.za).
  2. A detailed CV that lists three referees you can contact.
  3. Certified copies of your ID and your academic certificates.
  4. The reference number of the internship you want (e.g., HRM/01/2025).
