What’s the opportunity?

Flyfofa Aviation Training, together with the National Skills Fund (NSF) and the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET), is running a bursary for the Advanced Pilot Training (300‑Hour Building) Programme. The goal is simple: give licensed pilots the flight time they need to get hired by airlines, charter firms, or teaching roles.

Who should apply?

  • Citizenship & age – Must be a South African citizen and 35 years old or younger.
  • Location – Must live in Gauteng Province.
  • Licence – Hold a Private Pilot Licence (PPL) or a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) recognised by SACAA.
  • Disadvantaged status – Priority for people from previously disadvantaged groups.

What you gain

This programme gives you:

  • A structured plan to log 300 additional flight hours.
  • Hands‑on experience that matches industry standards.

  • Keep copies of everything you submit for your own records.
  • If you’re new to applications, reach out for help from a mentor or a career adviser – many applicants feel nervous, but most successful candidates had a clear plan.
