Fermel (Pty) Ltd, a top manufacturer of underground trackless mining equipment, is hiring eight Millwright apprentices for its Production Department in Germiston, Gauteng. The programme lasts 48 months and gives you a full, paid apprenticeship with a chance to become a certified Millwright.

Who should apply?

If you meet these minimum requirements you’re eligible:

  • Certified copy of your South African ID document
  • Certified copy of your highest qualification (must be clearly visible)
  • Proof of residence in South Africa
  • Matric with Mathematics and Physical Science grades
  • Engineering Studies N3, N4, or N6, or an NCV Level 3 or 4 in a relevant engineering field
  • A strong technical aptitude and eagerness to learn

What you gain

During the apprenticeship you’ll:

  • Receive hands‑on workplace training in a real manufacturing environment
  • Develop technical skills that prepare you for a trade test
  • Earn a qualification as a Trade‑Tested Millwright
