South Africa’s biggest electricity company, Eskom, is looking for fresh graduates who have nothing to do right now. They want you to join their Graduate in Training program in Business Enablement (in the Western Cape) or their Engineer in Training program for Electrical Project Management. Both internships start in 2026, give you real job experience inside Eskom, and pay you a market‑related wage.


Graduate in Training – Business Enablement (Western Cape)

Why this role matters
You’ll work in the Business Enablement Department where you’ll learn how to help the company run smoothly. Think of it as the office side of the power world – dealing with people, processes and support tasks.

What you need

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering

If you’re into electricity and like managing projects, this two‑year internship is for you. You’ll learn the ropes of building and maintaining power substations while getting hands‑on training.

Business Unit – Construction Services
Department – Substations
Contract length – 2 years
Pay – Market‑related stipend

What you need

  • Finished high school (Grade 12)
  • A BSc or BTech in Electrical Engineering
  • No previous work experience required

  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Leadership vibes – can guide a small group if needed
  • Good at solving problems and dealing with disagreements
