Ekurhuleni West TVET College has just opened a 24‑month internship for aspiring wellness professionals. If you’re a Psychology or Social Sciences graduate, this could be your first real‑world chance to work in employee health within South Africa’s public sector.
What is the Internship?
You’ll be hired as an Employee Health and Wellness Intern (Reference: EWC CC 01/2026) at the Corporate Centre in Germiston. The contract lasts two years, pays R7 860.50 a month, and closes on 27 February 2026.
Who Should Apply?
To qualify you need:
- Grade 12 (matric) certificate
- BA in Psychology or BA in Social Sciences
- No prior internship experience
Many applicants fear that “I’m not experienced enough,” but this role is designed for fresh grads who want practical exposure.
What You’ll Gain
You’ll help run health and wellness programmes, provide basic counselling under supervision, and handle administrative duties for staff well‑being initiatives. You’ll learn about employee assistance programmes (EAP), HR wellness administration, and data reporting. A stipend and real experience in a public‑sector environment are added perks.
