The Electrical Apprenticeship for 2026 is open to South African residents in Gauteng or the Northern Cape. By joining this program, you’ll learn all the skills that make you a certified electrician, and you’ll get paid while you train. The program is run by EASTC Technocentric Varsity together with the Small Enterprise Development and Finance Agency (SEFDA).
When do you need to apply?
The deadline is 04 January 2026. Make sure you send all your paperwork before that date.
Why an Electrical Apprenticeship is a Smart Choice
Electricians are needed everywhere—from new houses to big office buildings. This apprenticeship will give you:
- Hands‑on training that lets you practice right away.
- A name on your résumé that shows you know real electrical work.
- A clear path into a permanent job, or the chance to start your own business later.
- A look at the real industry while you learn, so you know what to expect when you finish.
If you’re out of work and want a fresh start, this program could be the key to a better future.
