Tourism Internship 2026–2028 – A 24‑Month Paid Placement in Pretoria
If you’ve finished university and are looking for a real job experience, the Department of Tourism in South Africa has a special offer just for you. They’re running a 24‑month paid internship that starts in 2026 and ends in 2028. Each month, you’ll receive a stipend of R7 450.58. Who Can Apply?
- You must be a South African graduate or postgraduate who is currently unemployed.
- You should be 35 years old or younger.
- Your degree must match one of the fields listed above.
- You should not have already done a public service internship.
What You Need to Send
Your application has to include:
- A completed and signed Z83 form (you can get this form from the Department’s website or request it by email).
- A clear, up‑to‑date CV that shows your education, work, and any volunteer work.
If you get invited to the next round, you’ll need to send:
- A copy of your ID.
- Your Senior Certificate (Matric).
- Your highest degree.
- Your academic transcript or a list of modules.
All documents must be certified copies (originals are not necessary for the first stage).

Deadline
All applications must arrive before 19 December 2025. After that date, we can’t guarantee that we’ll review late submissions.
What Happens Next
After we receive your application, we’ll review it and contact shortlisted candidates for a short interview. The interview will be held at the Department’s office in Pretoria. If you succeed, you’ll start your 24‑month internship at the beginning of 2026.
