City of Polokwane Municipality 2026 Bursary Opportunities for Graduates

Polokwane City Bursary 2026 – Your Chance to Study for Free

The City of Polokwane in Limpopo is offering a bursary for the 2026 school year. This is a scholarship that will pay for your tuition if you come from a family that doesn’t have a lot of money. If you finish Grade 12 or are a Grade 12 student and you want to study at a South African university, college, or technical school, you could qualify. The deadline to apply is 05 December 2025 at 4:30 pm. All documents and forms must be turned in by then – after that, applications won’t be looked at.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for the City of Polokwane bursary you need to meet these simple rules:

  1. High‑school graduate or in Grade 12 – you must have finished or be currently finishing Grade 12.
  2. Studying for a first degree, national diploma, or N diploma – this could be a university degree, a college diploma, or a technical qualification.
  3. Live in Polokwane – you must be a permanent resident of the municipality.
  4. From a disadvantaged background – you should be from a family that needs financial help to study.
  5. South African citizen – you must hold a South African passport or ID.
  6. No other bursary – you cannot already be receiving a different scholarship that covers tuition.

If you meet all these points, you can send your application. The city will ask you to sign a contract once you are chosen.
