Bidvest Protea Coin, together with the Gijima Training Academy, is looking for 15‑to‑27‑year‑old South Africans from the John Taolo Gaetsewe District in the Northern Cape to join a 12‑month security learnership. You’ll learn the skills a security guard needs, finish with a nationally accredited certificate, and be ready for a good paying job when the program ends.
What the Program Offers
- Job Title: Secure Guard (Level 3)
- Program Length: 12 months
- Reward: National Certificate in General Security Practices, Level 3 (NQF) – the official badge that employers in South Africa recognize.
- Places: 30 spots are open.
The learnership gives you both classroom lessons and real‑life experience. You’ll practice staying alert, managing people, and using security equipment while being guided by experienced professionals.
At the end of the program you’ll hold a certificate signed by SASSETA (Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority) and you’ll have the chance to find work through Bidvest Protea Coin’s network of security contracts.
