About Afrimat Management Services

Afrimat Management Services is part of the Afrimat Group, a big South African company that mines and makes materials. The group operates in many areas and focuses on doing things safely, teaching skills, and keeping the business strong for the future. Their internship programmes are a way to bring fresh talent into the mining and industrial world and to give people hands‑on learning.

What the IT Internship Looks Like

The internship lasts a full year and is a paid, work‑based training job. You’ll be working with computers, networks, and general IT help inside the company. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Setting up and fixing computer issues for staff.
  • Helping to manage the company’s software and database systems.
  • Keeping track of IT equipment and keeping it in good shape.
  • Working with a mentor who will show you the ropes and give feedback.

You’ll learn both technical skills – like troubleshooting hardware, working with networks, and using business software – and soft skills, such as teamwork, time management, and clear communication. By the end of the internship you should be able to solve simple IT problems on your own and feel ready to look for a full‑time role in IT.
