ACSA Graduate Apprentices 2025-2026 Jobs – Apply Today

Airports Company South Africa Limited (ACSA) is looking for energetic South African youth to join the Apprentice Programme in Civil Engineering for 2025.
The program will run for three years at Bram Fischer International Airport in Bloemfontein, and it is open to people who are currently without a job, between 18 and 34 years old, and hold a South African technical certificate in civil engineering (or a similar level). If you want a real chance to learn on the job and earn a steady stipend, this could be the right start for you.

Why this apprenticeship matters

ACSA wants to give you a solid foundation in civil engineering, bricklaying and plumbing. You’ll spend most of your time – about 70% – working alongside engineers and other skilled staff right inside the airport. The rest of the time, 30%, will be spent in a classroom setting where you’ll study the theory that matches your hands‑on work. The training is officially recognized by the relevant Skills and Training Authority (SETA), so you’ll receive a certificate that counts.

You’ll also be paired with a mentor. This person will watch your progress, give you advice, and help you finish the apprenticeship strong. Think of it as having a coach who knows the ins and outs of the industry.

What you’ll learn

  • Civil engineering fundamentals: Learn how to read plans, calculate loads and understand building materials.
  • Bricklaying and plumbing: Get practical skills that you can use on construction sites or in maintenance teams.
  • Problem solving and teamwork: Work with others to fix problems on the spot and keep projects on schedule.
  • Safety and quality: Understand how to keep the work environment safe and how to meet strict industry standards.

You’ll be trained in real airport environments – think runways, terminal buildings and support facilities. That experience is unique because it mixes heavy engineering with the fast pace of aviation.

Who can join?

  • Unemployed: You must not be working at the moment.
  • South African citizen: Only citizens can apply.
  • Age: 18 to 34 years old.
  • Education: Hold a National Technical Certificate between N3 and N6, or an S4 in Civil Engineering.
  • Fit and clean record: You need to be physically fit and have no criminal record.
  • English skills: Speak and write clearly in English.

What you’ll need to bring

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication skills so you can share ideas with teammates.
  • Ability to adapt to changes, as projects often shift priorities.
  • A sense of responsibility – you’ll be trusted with real tools and tasks.

What you’ll get

  • Structured training that mixes theory and hands‑on practice.
  • Mentorship from experienced engineers.
  • Stipend for the three years of the program.
  • A real chance to build a career in a stable industry.

After the apprenticeship ends, you’ll be ready for a skilled trade role, or you can go on to further study if you wish. The skills you gain are useful in many other construction and maintenance jobs too.
