VGI Consulting Bursary 2026 – A Chance to Study Engineering for Free
If you’re a South African high‑school graduate who wants to study engineering but worries about the cost, this post is for you. VGI Consulting is offering a bursary – a scholarship that pays for most of your university fees – for the 2026 academic year. The programme is open to students who are 18‑25 years old and are starting their second year or higher of a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng), Bachelor of Technology (BTech), or Bachelor of Science (BSc) in one of four engineering fields.
What the Bursary Covers
- University registration – the paperwork and official enrolment fees.
- Tuition fees – the main cost for each semester.
- Study materials – textbooks and any required equipment.
- Examination fees – the cost to sit for your exams.
The bursary is paid every year for one academic year, but you can keep it if you keep doing well in school. You will need to finish some work during the June/July and December/January breaks. Keep in mind the bursary does not pay back old debt or any failed modules. It is only a fresh start for the year you are applying for.
When the Applications Close
- Deadline: 30 November 2025, 23:59
