You would report to the Contact Centre Team Leader. You would be the first point of contact for customers who need help with bookings, delays, cancellations, lost property, system issues and other enquiries.

You must meet these requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • At least one year of call centre experience gained within the last three years in a medium-sized organisation
  • No criminal record
  • No credit record
  • Be prepared to work shifts
  • Be available to work weekends and public holidays
  • Be able to work flexible hours
  • Be willing to work longer than normal office hours when required

What you will do and what you gain

This is permanent work, not a short contract. Your duties would include:

  • Handling and resolving customer complaints, requests and queries
  • Helping with bookings, delays, cancellations, lost property and system-related issues
  • Following approved scripts, instructions and guidelines during high volumes of calls
  • Processing customer forms, orders and applications
  • Giving information about FlySafair products and services
  • Explaining processes and guiding customers
  • Following up so issues are resolved
  • Identifying needs and investigating queries
  • Offering solutions or alternatives
  • Escalating difficult queries
  • Capturing comments, enquiries, complaints and actions taken
  • Updating customer information
  • Using approved communication channels
  • Providing a high standard of customer service
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell products
  • Maintaining customer confidentiality
  • Keeping up to date with products and services
  • Identifying ways to improve customer service
