What the bursary is
Sasol Mining is offering an all‑inclusive undergraduate bursary for young women who live in the fenceline communities around the Secunda Complex in Mpumalanga. The funding is meant for engineering, mining and geology qualifications that lead to a BEng or BSc degree.
Who can apply
- Female South African citizens
- Maximum age 25 years on the day you apply
- Live within roughly 50 km of Secunda and its surrounding communities (proof of residence will be required)
- Either: a Grade 12 learner, or a first‑, second‑ or third‑year university student at a recognised South African university
- Minimum results: Mathematics 70 %, Physical Science 70 %, English 60 %
- Intend to study one of the approved fields (see below)
