Volvo SA Diesel Technician Apprenticeship 2026 – Closing 21 Aug

Volvo Group Southern Africa is looking for unemployed South African youth to join the Diesel Technician Apprenticeship Programme 2026. The deadline is fast approaching – you must apply by 21 August 2026 if you want a chance to start a career in diesel mechanics.

What the apprenticeship is

This is a three‑year, fixed‑term apprenticeship that leads to an Occupational Certificate: Diesel Mechanic (NQF Level 4). You will study in a classroom, work in a workshop and earn a trade‑test certificate to qualify as a diesel technician.

Who can apply

You must meet all of the following:

  • Grade 12 completed with at least 50 % in each required subject.
  • English First Language or First Additional Language.

  • South African citizen with a valid ID.
  • Physically fit and willing to undergo a medical exam.
  • Valid EC driver’s licence (advantageous but not mandatory).
