What the internship is
MICT SETA, together with the South African Media Development and Distribution Association (SAMDDRA), is offering a 12‑month graduate internship for ICT graduates. Only three positions are available, and the role will be based somewhere in South Africa.
Who can apply
You must meet all of the following:
- South African citizen
- Completed a three‑year National Diploma, degree or equivalent from a SAQA‑accredited institution
- Qualification is in one of these fields:
- Systems and Software Development
- Business Information Systems
- Artificial Intelligence
- Systems Analysis
- Digital Media
- Not currently enrolled in any other MICT SETA‑funded or other SETA‑funded programme
- Submit a complete application by 30 July 2026
What you will gain
The internship is designed to turn theory into practice. You will:

How to apply – step by step
- Prepare a current CV that includes:
- Full name, ID number or DOB, contact details
- Qualification title, awarding institution, completion date
- Relevant subjects, technical skills and any programming languages
- Academic projects, volunteer work or leadership activities
- Obtain clear copies of:
- Your South African ID
- Proof of qualification (transcript or degree certificate)
- Write an affidavit stating you are not participating in any other SETA‑funded programme. Have it signed and certified by a Commissioner of Oaths.
