What the internship is
SAQA (the South African Qualifications Authority) is offering a two‑year, paid graduate internship. The placement is with a national public institution and is open to unemployed South African graduates who have never taken part in an internship programme.
Who can apply
- Unemployed graduates (any age, South African citizenship is assumed).
- Must have a qualification that matches the chosen field (see fields below).
- Must not have previously completed an internship.
- Must submit a complete online application before the closing date.
Internship fields
Choose one of the following areas. Your qualification must relate to the field you select.
- Supply Chain Management – Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Public Administration or Finance.
- Authentication Services – Diploma or Degree in Information Management, Education or Administration.
- Executive Support – Degree in Public Management, Education or Administration.
- Legal and Compliance – Degree in Law or LLB.
What you will gain
- Annual stipend between R72 000 and R102 000 (exact amount depends on the role and qualification).
- Practical experience in a national public institution.
- Skills in procurement, document verification, executive office work, legal research and compliance, depending on the field.
- Exposure to public‑sector procedures, report writing, stakeholder communication and professional ethics.
