What the internship offers
The Department of Student Development and Support at TUT has three paid internship slots. The posts are for 12 months, beginning on 2 January 2027. You will work at the Pretoria West Campus, Gauteng.
Interns will provide counselling and development support to registered TUT students. You will also gain supervised experience in individual therapy, group counselling, psycho‑education and student‑wellness activities.
Who can apply
This internship is open to postgraduate students who are on track to complete professional training in Counselling Psychology.
- Currently registered for a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
- Enrolled at a recognised South African university.
- Can supply all required academic and supporting documents.
- Available for the full 12‑month period starting January 2027.
- Able to work with students, children, groups and university staff.
