Mthashana TVET College In-Service Training 2026 – Apply by 22 June

If you are an N6 graduate looking for workplace experience right now, this is a real chance to complete your National Diploma. Mthashana TVET College, together with ETDP SETA, has opened In-Service Training Opportunities 2026 for South African students who need practical training.

What the Opportunity Is

Mthashana TVET College is offering funded in-service training for 18 months. The programme helps N6 graduates get the workplace experience they need for their National Diplomas. ETDP SETA funds the training.

Successful applicants receive a monthly stipend of R4 000. There are 45 positions available across different fields.

Who Can Apply

You can apply if you have completed your N6 studies at a TVET College. This programme is especially for graduates who still need workplace training to qualify for their National Diploma.

Young South Africans who want industry experience and better job chances should also consider it. Having a confirmed host employer gives you an added advantage.

What You Gain

You will work in your field of study and learn real workplace skills. This hands-on experience is often the missing piece for your diploma. You also receive R4 000 every month to help with basic expenses during the 18 months.

Over the full programme, this adds up to about R72 000 in total support. Many graduates find that this training improves their employability.

How to Apply – Step by Step

1. Prepare your documents: updated CV, copy of South African ID, N6 Certificate or academic history, Matric or NCV Level 4 Certificate, and a Host Employer Letter if you have one.

2. Combine all documents into one clear PDF file. Do not send separate files or images.

3. Write the correct reference number in the subject line of your email. For example, use MTC/ETDP-M1/2026 if you are applying for Management Assistant.

4. Send your application by email to applications@mthashana.edu.za before 22 June 2026 at 16:00.

Tips to Improve Your Chances

Many applicants struggle with unclear documents, so make sure everything is readable and well scanned. Submit only one application per post and use the exact reference number.

Hand-delivered or faxed applications will not be accepted. If you already have a workplace ready to host you, include the official letter – this can help your application stand out.

Only shortlisted candidates will need to certify documents later. If you do not hear back within three months, consider your application unsuccessful.

Take the Next Step

This in-service training from Mthashana TVET College and ETDP SETA is a practical way to move forward after N6. Gather your documents, choose the right field, and send your application before the closing date.

Good preparation now can open doors to better opportunities later. Start today and give yourself the best chance. Good luck!
