What the internship offers

Magalies Water will take on unemployed graduates and students for a 24‑month placement. You will work in real projects and receive a stipend of R7 500.00 per month. The program runs at several sites: Mafikeng, Brits WTW, Vaalkop WTW, Padda Junction Projects, Brits Lab and the Head Office.

Who can apply

You must be a South African citizen, aged 18 to 35, and currently unemployed. You also need the qualification that matches the internship field you choose.

  • Projects & Engineering – Civil or Mechanical Engineering (minimum NQF 6) – 5 places
  • GIS – BSc Geomatics or equivalent – 1 place
  • Mechanical Engineering – S4, National Diploma, BTech or equivalent – 1 place
  • Water Services Production – National Diploma in Water Care, Chemical Engineering or equivalent – 1 place
  • ICT – Degree in IT, Information Systems or equivalent – 3 places
