What you will gain
Successful apprentices receive a blend of on‑the‑job and off‑the‑job learning, including:
- Structured workplace training
- Practical workshop exposure
- Technical and trade‑specific development
- Industry experience in the engineering sector
How to apply – step by step
- Gather the required documents:
- Current CV (covering education, skills and any work experience)
- Certified copy of your South African ID
- Certified copies of your qualifications
- Proof of residential address
- Write an email to internships@newage-eng.com. In the subject line, type the reference number and the trade you are applying for, e.g. APPRE 2026 – Boilermaker.
- Attach your CV and all certified documents to the email.
- Send the email before the closing date of 03 June 2026.
Tips to improve your chances
- Check that all copies of your ID and certificates are clearly certified; illegible documents are rejected.
- Tailor your CV to the trade you want – highlight any related coursework, projects or informal experience.
- Use the exact subject line format; a different subject may cause your email to be missed.
- If you have completed any short courses (e.g., welding safety, basic drafting), list them to show extra commitment.
- Make sure you submit before the deadline. Late applications are usually not considered.
Next steps
If you meet the requirements and are ready to start learning on the job, send your application today. Remember, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted, and if you do not hear back within 30 days after the deadline, you can assume the application was not successful. This apprenticeship can give you solid skills and a foot‑in‑the‑door in South Africa’s engineering industry – a valuable step toward a stable career.
