Time is running out – the National Metrology Institute of South Africa (NMISA) will close its Internship Programme 2026 on 04 June 2026. If you are an unemployed graduate, this could be the first step into a professional career.
What the opportunity is
NMISA is offering 24‑month paid internships in Pretoria, Gauteng. The posts are in four areas:
- Outbound Logistics and Administration Assistant
- Legal and Compliance
- Analytical Chemistry
- Information Technology (two positions)
Each intern receives a monthly stipend of R6 758 – R8 878, depending on the qualification level.
Who can apply
1. Outbound Logistics and Administration Assistant (24 months)
- Grade 12
- Degree or Advanced Diploma in Business Administration or Logistics Management
- Good skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
2. Legal and Compliance (24 months)
- BProc, LLB or any NQF Level 8 legal qualification
- Knowledge of PFMA, POPIA, PAIA, Companies Act, King IV is an advantage
3. Analytical Chemistry (24 months)
- Advanced Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry
4. Information Technology (24 months) – 2 posts
- Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF Level 7) in IT, Computer Science, Information Management or related field
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Azure are a plus
