What is the Exxaro Students Living with Disabilities Bursary 2027?

Exxaro’s Corporate Centre (The ConneXXion) is offering a bursary to support learners with disabilities who are studying at a recognised South African university or college. The funding is part of Exxaro’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy and is aimed at students who live in the company’s host communities in Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

Who can apply?

You must meet all of the following criteria:

  • South African citizen, aged 18‑28
  • Resident of an Exxaro host community in Limpopo or Mpumalanga
  • Living with a disability as defined in the Employment Equity Amendment Act
  • Enrolled in a minimum three‑year degree or diploma programme
  • Studying one of the approved fields (see list below)
  • Registered at a recognised, accredited South African tertiary institution
  • Able to maintain the academic performance required by the bursary agreement
  • Willing to attend all classes, submit semester transcripts and take part in bursary activities
  • Ready to fulfil any work‑back, internship or service obligations after graduation
  • Committed to informing the bursary office of any changes to your study or personal circumstances
