Knysna Municipality WIL Programme 2026 – Apply by 5 June

Need practical experience to finish your diploma? Knysna Municipality and the Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority (CHIETA) are offering a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) programme that could launch your career right now.

What the opportunity is

Knysna Municipality will take on 20 unemployed youths for an 18‑month work‑integrated learning placement. The internship is based in Knysna, Western Cape. It is designed for students who have finished the theory part of their studies and still need on‑the‑job training to qualify.

Who can apply

You may apply if you meet all of the following:

  • South African citizen
  • Permanent resident of the Knysna Municipality area
  • Completed the theoretical component of a National Diploma (N6) in one of the fields listed below
  • Require in‑service training to obtain your qualification

Preference will be given to applicants from previously disadvantaged groups.

  • National Diploma / N6 Public Management
  • National Diploma / N6 Management Assistant
  • National Diploma / N6 Business Management
  • National Diploma / N6 Human Resources
