Who can apply – minimum requirements

  • NQF Level 4 qualification (Grade 12, ABET, AET Level 3) or an equivalent SAQA‑recognised qualification
  • Valid SAPS Firearm Competency Certificate (handgun, rifle or shotgun)
  • Valid driver’s licence (except where the applicant has a disability)
  • Clean criminal record
  • Good physical fitness

Additional advantages

  • Experience in conservation‑management programmes
  • Certificate or qualification in conservation training from an accredited institution
