DTIC 2026 Internship – Apply by 6 May 2026 (Sunnyside, Pretoria)

Right now the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition is opening a 24‑month internship that could jump‑start your public‑sector career. Applications close on 6 May 2026, so act quickly.

What the internship is

The programme runs from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2028. It is based in Sunnyside, Pretoria, and offers a monthly stipend of R7 860,50 (amount may adjust to your highest qualification). You will work on projects that support a dynamic, inclusive and globally‑competitive South African economy.

  1. Download the current Z83 form from www.gov.za/documents and fill it in.
  2. Prepare a detailed CV that includes your final‑year modules or subjects.
  3. Send an email to intern2026@thedtic.gov.za. Use the field of study in the subject line, e.g. “Intern2026 – Public Management”. Attach the completed Z83 form and your CV.
  4. If you prefer, you may also submit a hard copy or hand‑deliver your documents to:

Tips to improve your chances

  • Check that every required field on the Z83 form is completed and signed – incomplete forms are rejected.
