Ekurhuleni West TVET College Hospitality Trainees Programme 2026 is calling all South African graduates who haven’t found a job yet. If you hold an N6 Hospitality Certificate, this 18‑month paid traineeship could be the bridge to a stable career in the hospitality sector.

What Is the Hospitality Trainees Programme?

The programme is a hands‑on internship run by the Germiston Campus of Ekurhuleni West TVET College. Over 18 months you’ll work in the utilities department of a hospitality setting, learning everything from kitchen management to food service operations.

Each month you’ll receive a stipend of R4,500, giving you financial support while you build real workplace skills.

Who Should Apply?

  • Graduates who have completed an N6 Hospitality Certificate and have not yet finished an 18‑month internship.
  • You want practical experience in food service and kitchen operations.
  • You are ready to start training as soon as possible.

What You Gain

During the traineeship you will:

  • Compile and place orders, and handle stock taking for food and equipment.
  • Keep a store, issue ingredients, and maintain MSDS records.
  • Assist in nutrition and menu planning, and help lecturers with demonstrations.
  • Cook for the crèche, liaise with suppliers, and generate quotations.
  • Support planning of functions, supervise students during events, and ensure OHS compliance.

Beyond the stipend, you’ll finish a structured, industry‑recognised 18‑month training period that improves your employability in the hospitality field.

    • New Z83 form (effective from 01 January 2021)
    • Updated CV
    • Certified transcript and Matric certificate
    • Certified N4–N6 certificates
    • Copy of ID (both sides)
