ETDP SETA Internship 2026 – 45 Slots, R4k Stipend, 13 Mar Closing – CJC

Looking to finish your National Diploma and get a head‑start on your career? ETDP SETA Internship Programme 2026 is now open for students at Central Johannesburg TVET College. It offers 45 spots, 18 months of on‑the‑job training and a monthly stipend of R4 000 – all you need to cross that final barrier to your qualification.

What is the ETDP SETA Internship Programme?

The Education, Training and Development Practices Sector Education and Training Authority (ETDP SETA) has partnered with Central Johannesburg TVET College to fund a hands‑on internship that meets the 18‑month work‑experience requirement for a National Diploma (N4–N6). It’s a bridge for graduates who finished N6 but can’t find a company to host them.

Who should apply?

Only students from Central Johannesburg TVET College who have completed an N6 qualification can apply. The programme is for those who still need the 18 months of in‑service training to finish their diploma, and who have not previously taken part in an internship.

What you’ll gain

Beyond the R4 000 monthly stipend – which can help cover transport, meals, communication and everyday living costs – you’ll earn practical experience in your chosen field. This work‑experience boosts your employability and gives you the hands‑on skills that employers value.

How to apply

1. Gather certified documents – South African ID, matric certificate, N4, N5 and N6 certificates (no unofficial transcripts).
2. Provide a bank statement or bank confirmation letter, a SARS letter and an affidavit stating you have never done an internship before.
3. Complete the online form: Central Johannesburg TVET College ETDP SETA Internships 2026.
4. Submit all documents before 13 March 2026. Applications missing paperwork will not be considered.

Practical tips to boost your chances

  • Double‑check that every certificate is certified – unofficial copies won’t be accepted.
  • Keep your documents neat and in the order requested – this shows attention to detail.
  • Write a short, clear statement in the affidavit about your lack of previous internships.
  • Ask a mentor or academic officer at CJC to review your application before you send it.
  • Apply early; the earlier you submit, the better the chance to secure a spot.

Next steps

Prepare your documents, fill out the form and send in your application before the closing date. This internship could be the stepping stone you need to complete your National Diploma and enter the job market with confidence. Good luck, and remember – the key is to act now before the 13 March deadline.
