Bidvest Facilities Management 2026 Learnerships – Graduate Careers

Unitary Installer Learnership 2026 – Your First Step into a Tech Career

Bidvest Facilities Management (BFM) is opening a 12‑month training program called the Unitary Installer Learnership (NQF Level 2) for 2026. If you’re a South African student who’s finished high school or already has some technical skill, this is a chance to learn how to set up and fix heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning (HVAC) systems. You’ll get classroom lessons, hands‑on practice, and real work experience in a real office building, all while earning a recognized qualification.

When and Where You Can Join

  • Application deadline: 13 February 2026
  • Start date: 1 March 2026 (optional)
  • Location: Olifantsfontein, Gauteng, South Africa

Because the program lasts a full year, you’ll finish with a solid skill set and a certificate that can help you land a job in facilities management or a related field.

What You’ll Learn

The learnership is split into three parts:

  1. Classroom training: Basic theory about how HVAC works, safety rules, and how to read blueprints.
  2. Workshops: You’ll practice installing and testing a single-unit HVAC system, using tools, and finding problems in a controlled environment.
  3. On‑site work: A real supervisor will let you try the skills you learned in a plant room, on a rooftop, or inside a building under close watch.

Key topics include:

  • HVAC fundamentals and system components
  • Setting up and starting a unitary HVAC unit
  • Basic electrical wiring and mechanical tasks
  • Using tools and identifying faults
  • Safety practices, especially working at heights
  • Professional habits and following company rules
