The Role You’ll Play
As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you will work right alongside Aspen’s hiring team. Your main job is to support the whole hiring cycle – from posting jobs online to welcoming new hires. You will:
- Post job ads and manage applications
- Look through resumes and pick the best candidates to interview
- Set up interview dates with candidates and hiring managers
- Check references and run background checks
- Keep the applicant tracking system updated
- Help promote the company’s image to attract good applicants
- Produce simple reports on hiring progress
- Do general paperwork and admin tasks
- Offer fresh ideas on how to make the hiring experience smoother
You’ll learn what it takes to hire the right people for a science‑based company that follows strict rules and standards.
Who Should Apply?
Education
- Finished Grade 12 (Matric)
- A degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or Life Sciences
- An honours degree is a bonus
Skills and Attitudes
- A real interest in hiring, HR, and building a company’s reputation
- Strong written and spoken communication
- Comfortable using numbers and digital tools for recruiting
- Very detail‑oriented and organized
- Eager to learn new things and take initiative
- Able to work alone or as part of a team
- Good people skills and able to juggle time effectively
- Can meet tight deadlines and solve problems quickly
Computer Skills
- Must be good with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
