Jump into a 12‑Month Internship at SAFCOL – Your First Step into the Forestry and Finance World

If you just finished university or a trade course and you’re looking for a real job, SAFCOL SOC Ltd is launching a 12‑month internship for students and artisans under 35. The program is a chance to work in real projects, learn from people who know their jobs, and see how a big company manages South Africa’s forests. You’ll get paid, gain fresh skills, and add a strong résumé item that will help you get a full‑time job later on. The internship runs from now until February 2026, with spots in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, and Limpopo.


What is SAFCOL?

SAFCOL is a state‑owned company that runs South Africa’s commercial forests. It plans tree plantations, cuts timber, and keeps the environment healthy. The company also helps local communities grow jobs and keeps a balance between making money and taking care of the land.


The Internship: What It Looks Like

The SAFCOL YES Internship Programme gives hands‑on work in many areas of the business. You will be placed in the department that needs help the most, so you can see how the company runs from inside. The programme is open to anyone with a National Diploma, a degree, or a trade test certificate from a recognised school.

Who can apply?

  • Must be 35 or younger
  • Must not be employed at another company that conflicts with the internship

What do you need?

  • A detailed CV that shows your skills and experience
  • Certified copies of every qualification you have earned
  • A copy of your South African ID
