Westfalia Fruit Graduate Internship 2026 – Your First Step Into Agribusiness
If you’ve recently finished university and want to start a career in farming, engineering, science or business, Westfalia Fruit is offering a place for you. The company is inviting South‑African graduates to join its 2026 Accelerated Graduate Programme (AGP). This internship is a mix of learning and hands‑on work that lets you see how a big fruit company runs every day. The final application deadline is 5 February 2026 and you can choose to work in Tzaneen, Johannesburg or Howick.
About Westfalia Fruit
Westfalia Fruit started in South Africa and has grown into a worldwide business that takes fresh fruit from farms to supermarkets around the world. The company is especially known for avocados, but it works with many other types of fruit too. They focus on careful, eco‑friendly farming, smart technology, and good ways to grow and sell fruit. If you care about food and the planet, this could be a great fit.
What the Internship Looks Like
The AGP is built to give new grads a clear path to learning and growing in the field. You’ll rotate through different parts of the business—whether that’s the farm, the warehouse, the office, or the lab—so you get a broad view of how everything works together. In each area you’ll get a mix of classroom style learning, real projects, and a mentor who will answer your questions and share their experience. The goal is to give you a real taste of the job, and a chance to decide which area you want to specialise in.
Interns will:
- Take part in a rotation plan that lets you visit several departments
- Use the knowledge you gained in university in practical situations
- Help with day‑to‑day tasks in production, sales or support roles
- Collect and analyse data, then share your findings with the team
- Help identify ways the company can do things better or faster
- Work together with people from many different roles
- Attend training sessions and get guidance from experienced staff
- Write short reports or updates to keep everyone in the loop
