Sappi is looking for new graduates to join its Supply Chain Internship Programme 2026 at the Saiccor Mill in Umkomaas, KwaZulu‑Natal.
If you have finished university and want to jump straight into the real world of manufacturing, this internship will give you a full year of hands‑on work in a big industrial company. The internship ends on 19 January 2026, so you’ll need to send your application before then.
What the internship is all about
During 12 months you’ll spend time in four main areas: sales, production, planning, and supply‑chain operations. You’ll see how a large company keeps track of demand, inventory and customer orders. You’ll also help the team with everyday tasks and make a real contribution to the mill’s work.
What you’ll do
- Help with paperwork for the sales, production and supply‑chain teams.
- Answer customers’ questions about orders and status.
- Support planning by helping forecast future needs, keep inventory organised and schedule production runs.
- Process orders following Sappi’s rules and procedures.
- Check orders that other team members have entered, to catch mistakes early.
- Assist the Planning Department with:
- Deciding where products will go in the factory.
- Managing space for upcoming jobs.
- Handling urgent production requests.
Who can apply?
- You must have finished Grade 12 (Matric) and earned a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Supply Chain Management
- Procurement
- Finance
- Business Administration
- No previous work experience is needed.
- You should know how to use MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

The internship takes place at the Saiccor Mill in Umkomaas, a town in KwaZulu‑Natal, South Africa.
How long it lasts
The programme is exactly 12 months, giving you enough time to learn many different aspects of the supply‑chain cycle.
