Shell is opening a scholarship called the Shell Bursary Programme for the 2026 academic year. If you’re a South African student who finished high school with good grades and need some money to pay for university, this is a chance to study a science, technology, engineering or math course that ties to the energy world.   3. Have finished matric (high school).
  4. Have a minimum overall score of 75 % in matric.
  5. Have at least 75 % in Pure Mathematics, Physical Sciences and English.
  6. Be starting your first year of study in 2026.
  7. Be starting a first undergraduate degree.
  8. Be accepted or registered at an accredited public university in South Africa.
  9. Your chosen field must be a STEM program connected to the energy sector.

If any of these points don’t match, your application will not be considered.
